Why does nature want to be alive
and grow taller every day
if it doesn’t do anything?
Huh, capitalism? What’s your answer?
I think maybe it’s because nature just wants to be alive.
Trees don’t know what they look like.
They don’t have fantasies.
They just, become.
Are consciousness of free will
and imagined realities,
such as religion and purpose,
killing the human race?
We work because we don’t know why we are here.
We actively fight our natural instincts
to fit into a world we created
out of fear of the unknown.
Because we,
unlike trees,
are conscious
and inevitably afraid of our own death
and our family’s deaths.
What if we just accepted
that we are all the same
as trees?
