Ants are on a pilgrimage,
each carrying their own burden
for the sake of their future self
and to build a world
for their family.
Ants follow the person in front of them
and lead the person behind.
Everyone is someone’s teacher.
Every day on their route seems the same to them:
long, exhausting, mundane.
But yet, they have an instinct to pilgrimage.
To collect, cross bridges, support each other, build.
We are the same as ants.
And we step over them while on our pilgrimage.
What steps over us
while we are on our Camino?
