The trees here on the Camino
are planted separately,
side by side,
but grow into their neighbor’s branches.
Their branches wrap around each other
like they are holding hands.
This reminds us that
we have to focus on our own path first
and not at each other,
so that eventually
we are grown enough
to reach the hands of our neighbors in the first place.
So that we can hold on
and grow even further.
