Falling In Love

Falling in love

feels like the specific color purple

of the clouds

during a sunrise.

Falling in love

looks like the blue stars and red lightning bolts

that you see in your eyes

during a kiss.

Falling in love

makes you say hello to the flowers

and talk to the spiders

hanging on their webs.

Falling in love

makes you spare the life of the flies

buzzing around in your room

or the beetle making his way on the ground

just as you are.

Falling in love

makes you treat nature as your home

and not leave trash on the ground

as you walk past it.

Falling in love

makes you want to learn all of the world’s languages

just so you can connect with more people

and make magic with your words.

Falling in love

makes you hug your loved ones

a bit tighter

and keep eye contact

just a bit longer.

Falling in love

makes you realize

that all of the trees’ leaves

twirling in the wind

are actually just them waving at you.

Falling in love

makes you give more love

and show others

that they are allowed to do the same,

to wave back at the leaves,

sing their favorite song out loud,

kiss the flowers good morning,

and wish the stars good night.
