Everyone’s body experiences pain.
But the real pain is not the physical pain,
it’s the thought that tells you you’re in pain.
The thoughts that lock you and don’t let you think about anything else.
The ones that don’t let you realize the mountains to your left,
the sweet animals to your right,
the loving friends by your side,
and all that you’ve accomplished behind you.
The pain represents the beautiful and hard things you’ve done.
It’s not a sign of having done something wrong,
or working too hard,
or that you need to do something to make it right again.
It’s just a sign to slow down.
To relish in what you’ve accomplished.
To rest.
When the pain comes, we tend to look into our minds
where the pain can grab you and pull you down.
Instead, we should just look around, breathe, and listen
to both our bodies and the world around us.
Because without feeling pain, we will never know what joy feels like.
We have to get over the fear of pain
because in order to accomplish hard things,
pain is inevitable.
Pain is a sign of courage and strength.
We must feel pain
to live.
