What is true?
True is the warmth I feel when I hear a beautiful song.
The intuition I feel when I’m in a bad situation.
The quickness of breathe I get when I stand close to someone I love.
Every. Single. Laugh.
The look of pure love in a mother’s eye when she looks at her baby.
Every. Single. Tear.
Praying out loud to whatever “God” you believe in.
Spending your entire life questioning what you do believe in.
Missing a loved one who has passed from this life.
Crying over memories with an old friend.
Feeling joy from cooking a delicious meal with current friends.
Kissing someone.
Finding purpose in something tangible and positive you can add to the world.
Finding joy in coffee, flowers, sunsets, ice cream, guitar.
What is not true?
Money. Mortgages. Student loans. Insurance. Religious institutions. Political parties. Body image trends. Magazines. Diets. Stereotypes. Resumes. Even our own names.
These things are imagined relaties.
They are man made.
They can be debated.
What we should only be following as truth
is everything that was not created by man’s mind
but can be found in a human
or any living species
from the moment they’re born.
The things that can be traced back tens of thousands of years.
And so every morning, day, and night,
what do you think about?
What do you believe?
What is true
to you?
