What Do Trees Think About?

I’m writing this under a tree.

I needed space.

The world likes to take from you.

And I admit, I take from the world sometimes, too,

when I know I’m not at my state of joy

or connectedness.

But when I’m not connected to myself,

I’ve learned what I need.

Silence.

Solitude.

Nature.

Nature never takes.

Nature just sits, chills,

sucks up the water,

soaks up the sun.

Nature needs nature, too.

Trees wave to the others;

trees stand up, sturdily and courageously .

Let’s be like trees to our friends.

The next time you are with your friends,

ask yourself:

What type of friend would a tree be?

How would a tree support your friends?

What are trees trying to say to you?

What do trees think about?
