Words

Your soul doesn’t speak in words.

It speaks in feelings, temperatures, movement, colors…

Words have only been created by us not too long ago

compared to our time on this earth.

Words are not ancient.

Words are not the truest form of communication.

Before words, we only had our instincts.

Our gut, or our “second brain,” according to recent neuroscience.

So when we really want to listen to our soul

and hear what they have to say,

we shouldn’t be listening.

We shouldn’t be talking to it.

Maybe even praying out loud isn’t the quickest way to access the divine.

Maybe we should just be in silence

and feel.

And those feelings are the things that transcend beyond borders, countries, languages…

Feelings are what make us all exactly the same.

And yes, as humans, we have been given a gift that no other life form has

to be able to imagine and come up with words and reason and logic…

But we shouldn’t use these things like they’re the most important form of knowing.

We can use it to our advantage,

but they are not the foundation of what we are meant to be doing here on this earth.

Words are not the truth,

they are the filtered truth,

covered with layers of societal constructs, idealogies, myths, imagined realities…

In the end, we never hear truth.

We can only feel it.
