Feel

the whole concept of reframing negative situations to be good

the act of looking at the bright side

are all important, yes,

but not until you feel the negatives first

I sometimes forget to feeeeel everything I actually feel:

the bad

the emotions you wish you didn’t have

anger, sadness, fear

the emotions you may have even brought onto yourself

through fiction, imagined realities, drama

feel it all

be upset

bring some sadness to the world

because that is what life intended to be

life is a place for our souls to feel

and that means everything

so today I felt everything

I gave my feelings a name

and I could think so clearly afterwards

and I want to do it again tomorrow

so when you’re done feeling all of the sadness

and you’ve cried

and yelled

and become so heavy with emotion

you’ll realize that afterwards

it doesn’t take barely any effort

to reframe everything

all over again
