Nothing Can Be Changed

There will always be little annoyances in life.

and we can either spend our days being angry that they’re there

wasting time trying to get rid of them,

or we can practice ignoring them

living with them.

Sometimes knowing that some things will never go away

makes it easier for us to live with them.

Sometimes realizing we don’t have as much power as we think we do

actually gives us more freedom in our lives.

So rather than thinking something is not supposed to be in our lives,

what if we think about how to still enjoy life with everything

that it already is?

If you were just diagnosed with a chronic health condition

that was uncurable,

rather than spending your days trying to cure it

or thinking that your life is over,

what if we simply learned to live with it?

Accepted it?

Loved it as a part of ourselves?

What if nothing was changeable

except for our perspective?

Then what would you finally stop doing?

What would you finally let go of trying to change?
