Can We Trust Our Brains?

I was thinking last night before bed that our humans brains,

although capture so much our our attention, perspectives, and views of reality,

are barely big enough to remember what we ate for breakfast yesterday.

They must not be that smart or trustworthy.

Even Albert Einstein couldn’t figure out everything about this universe.

Who knows what his personal life was like.

Did he even remember what he ate for breakfast the day before?!

But do you know what is so much older and wiser than your mind?

Your body.

It’s feelings.

Sensations.

Your tingles.

Your tightness.

Your relaxations.

Your smile.

Your tendency to tense up around things.

That is nature.

That is the life force underneath all of this that’s been building for millions of years.

Your brain has too, but your brain is a muscle, not a source of info.

It is a tool, not an agent.

It doesn’t work without the body, just like how a paintbrush doesn’t work without the hand of the artist.

Next time, listen to the hand that moves you.

Listen to your tingles.
